Aqualisa Quartz Digital Showers
Simple and easy to install with a one touch on/off button, Quartz Digital showers are controlled via a 'remote' processor that replaces the traditional shower valve and pump, which can be sited up to 10m away from the shower control, using the supplied low voltage data cable. The digital processor blends the water to your selected temperature and delivers it safely to the shower head. A flashing light on the shower control holds steady when the chosen water temperature has been reached and the shower is ready to 'step in'.
Optional extras are also available such as adding a Wireless Remote (RC0805) or Dual Switch (B3DS05) which enable the shower to be switched on remotely, away from the showering area. Body Jet packs can be added as extras to exposed models or complete body jet systems purchased as concealed models. Now also available is the new Quartz Digital Bath overflow filler which eliminates the need for bath taps, and the Quartz Bath Accessory Kit (QZB3XD05) which can be installed in conjunction with Concealed Quartz Digital showers to create a simple over bath/shower system.
Pumped or Standard (non-pumped)?
Pumped models have an integral built-in two speed booster pump built-in, and are recommended for use where existing water supplies are on a conventional (non-pumped) Gravity Water system. (i.e. cold tank and hot water cylinder)
Standard models (or non-pumped) are for use where the existing supplies are already pressurised/pumped. (i.e. pressurised unvented systems, mains fed systems, comination boilers or where there is already a pump installed to boost the pressure from a gravity fed tank/cylinder)
Exposed or Concealed?
Exposed Quartz Digital showers. Blended hot and cold water is dispensed from the pipe in the slider rail, fitted on the all surface, through to the shower head. The exposed model's design means there's no need for installation to cause damage to your bathroom décor or tiling. Providing there is easy access to space above the shower area (e.g: the loft), exposed Digital showers are extremely simple to install, can be completed in as little as two hours, and are the most popular choice and can be the easiest for the plumber to install.
Concealed Quartz Digital showers hot and cold blended water pipe is concealed or built-in the wall, giving a neat, compact shower where only the shower control and showerhead are visible. Concealed models are an especially good choice for a smaller showering enclosure where space is at a premium, or if you prefer a fixed showerhead. A concealed shower is also the best option if you cannot access the space above the showering area. Providing the showering area is adjacent to an airing cupboard, concealed Digital showers are very simple to install.
